About Geelong Hot Water Group
Geelong Hot Water Group is a lead-matching and referral service that connects homeowners across Geelong and the Bellarine with approved local plumbing and hot water service providers. We are not a licensed plumbing contractor and do not directly perform plumbing, gas or electrical work.
How enquiries are handled
When you submit an enquiry through our website, your details are passed to The Tradie Code platform, which assigns your job to an approved local service provider in your area. The assigned service provider will contact you directly to discuss your requirements and, where applicable, arrange an on-site assessment.
All plumbing, gas, electrical and hot water work is carried out by the assigned service provider, who is an independent contractor. Any agreement for services or works is entered into directly between you and that service provider.
Quotes and pricing
Any indicative pricing or estimate provided is given in good faith based on the information you supply and is subject to on-site inspection. Final quotes are issued by the assigned service provider. Quotes may be varied where site conditions, access, additional parts, compliance upgrades or unforeseen works make variation reasonably necessary. Any variation will be discussed with you before the work proceeds.
Licensing
Plumbing, gas fitting and electrical work in Victoria must be performed by appropriately licensed tradespeople. Service providers assigned through Geelong Hot Water Group are required to hold the relevant Victorian licences and insurances for the work they carry out. You may request the licence details of your assigned service provider at any time.
Warranties
Manufacturer warranties on hot water systems and components are provided by the manufacturer in accordance with their terms. Workmanship warranties, where offered, are provided by the assigned service provider and are subject to that provider's own terms. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Geelong Hot Water Group is not liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from:
- Your use of, or inability to use, this website;
- Reliance on any information published on this website; or
- The acts, omissions, workmanship, quotes, pricing or conduct of any service provider assigned to your enquiry.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
